There is still time to stop the legislation. We are continuing to organize and build a base of support. I have received nothing but encouragement from everyone in the community.
As the legislature nears the end of the current session on July 31st, we are planning our next steps. In the event casino legislation passes, we will begin organizing for the referendum. East Boston will be able to vote on whether a casino will be built at Suffolk Downs.
